Dr Rachel Hines is a highly experienced Women’s Health GP and registered British Menopause Society (BMS) menopause specialist in London. She has a long-standing dedication to supporting women’s health throughout every stage of life.
She works at Miss Claire Mellon & Associates at The Portland Hospital in Central London, where she provides personalised menopause and women’s health services in a warm, supportive environment.
Dr Hines is a clinical advisor for The Menopause Charity and a member of the British Menopause Society, the Primary Care Women’s Health Society, and the International Menopause Society. She regularly attends conferences to stay at the forefront of the latest research and guidance in menopause care.
Graduating with a degree in medicine from the University of Leeds in 2001, Dr Hines moved to London in 2002 to complete her training, becoming a qualified GP in 2006. She has been an NHS GP for 20 years proving a wealth of experience, and works in North London GP clinics as a locum Dr alongside her work at the Portland. She is also an appraiser for NHS GP’s.
She is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners. Throughout her career, she has focused on women’s health, holding postgraduate diplomas in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare, and Child Health. She undertook advanced menopause training through the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare, and is a registered BMS menopause specialist.
Dr Hines is passionate about delivering holistic, evidence-based care that empowers women, particularly during the perimenopause and menopause. She believes in offering women the tools and knowledge to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing.
Outside of work, she is a mum to 2 boys and truly understands the balancing act of managing work, health and family life.
